Cheri Inoue – Registered Massage Therapist
Cheri holds a 3000-hour Dip of Registered Massage Therapy CANADA – the highest level of training in North America for Clinical Massage Therapy. Cheri’s clinical experience comes from working alongside other allied health professionals, having her own pratice in Canada for several years before coming to New Zealand, and perhaps most importantly from the diversity of the patients she treats in her practice. Her extended training is in Anatomy Trains, Myofascial Release and soft tissue mobilization and has special experience and knowledge in chronic pain management, fascial health, postural biomechanics, and movement strategies.
She is incredibly passionate about helping people find their best – whether it be with overcoming the difficult or achieving the great. Her approach to assessing pain, discomfort and altered function is inspired by a holistic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and intention of human movement. Cheri works with people to challenge the archetype of position, prevent injuries and enjoy the potential of human movement.
Cheri’s interests are firstly in conversations about human potential and then, doing yoga, introducing people to Japanese food, good music and good coffee. Her plans for 2015 include starting a Crossfit specific movement project and popping back to Canada for further training. Cheri also loves penguins.
